This decision is subject to the following conditions:
No provision has been made or details provided for any car parking on site. As a consequence, vehicles are likely to park within the existing field which would have a harmful visual impact on this area of open countryside and in close proximity to the public right of way and the river. The driving and parking of additional vehicles would be likely to result in damage to the existing meadow and adjoining wetland habitat. This would be contrary to policies C5 and C7 of the Wychavon District Local Plan.
The lack of detail regarding existing and proposed numbers of vehicles likely to visit the site makes it difficult to assess the likely impact of the proposals in terms of vehicle movements and the impact on the amenity of nearby residents and users of the access road which is a public right of way.
The submitted plans are inconsistent because the size of the pools shown on the block plan do not correspond to those shown on the 1:500 plan. The size of the proposed pools would result in a substantial amount of soil being deposited on the surrounding land. This would have a significant visual impact on the adjoining land and result in the deposition of material which would encourage the growth of inappropriate plants in this wetland area, contrary to the objectives of policies C5 and C7 of the Wychavon District Local Plan, policies ENV1 and ENV7 of the Wychavon District Local Plan Review First Deposit and policies CTC1 and CTC2 of the Worcestershire County Structure Plan.
