Decision Date: 17 June 2003
Case Officer: Tim Williams
Decision: Refused - Planning
This decision is subject to the following conditions:
It is considered that the construction/erection of a large diesel vehicle fuel tank as proposed, would constitute a commercial use of land outside of the defined settlement boundary and would be materially harmful to the character and appearance of this rural location, contrary to Structure Plan Policy CTC1, District Local Plan Policies BC1, E4 and E5, and District Local Plan Review Policies GD1, GD2, ENV1 and ECON6.
Notwithstanding the above, it is considered that the proposed fuel tank is required in connection with the unlawful commercial use of the adjacent building and land and that its approval would contribute to the perpetuation of that unlawful commercial use.
