This decision is subject to the following conditions:
The proposed conservatory is sited on a part of the site identified for the provision of two car parking spaces under planning permission W/94/0956/CU which concerned the conversion of 60 Kings Road to one self-contained flat and three bed sits. Approval of the proposal would therefore conflict with this permission and reduce the parking provision to serve that development to an unacceptable extent to the detriment of local highway safety. It would also constitute an over development of the site in these circumstances.
The proposed extension by reason of its design, size and siting would be harmful to the character of the existing converted outbuilding, as well as the wider street scene which is characterised by traditionally designed terraced housing. The proposal is therefore contrary to policies GD2, SUR1, SUR3, SUR5 and SUR9 of the Wychavon District Local Plan Review First Deposit.
