Case Officer: Mark Lynch
Status: Decided
Decision: Refusal of Listed Building Consent
This decision is subject to the following conditions:
The proposed development would, by virtue of the scale and nature of alterations to the building, the constrained and limited curtilage layout and parking and access arrangement, be harmful to the setting and character and appearance of this important Grade II Listed Building, both internally and externally. The proposals would thereby fail to preserve the special historic and architectural qualities of the Listed Building or its setting, and nor would they preserve or enhance the character and appearance of this part of the designated North Littleton Conservation Area. Consequently, the proposals would fail to satisfy the statutory requirements of Sections 16, 66 and 72 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, Policies CB4, CB5 and CB11 of the adopted Wychavon District Local Plan, ENV13, ENV15 and ENV16 of the Wychavon District Local Plan Review (First Deposit), CTC19, CTC20 and CTC21 of the adopted Worcestershire County Structure Plan and advice and guidance contained in PP15 "Planning and the Historic Environment".
