Decision Date: 31 July 2003
Case Officer: Emma Thompson
Status: Appeal Decided
Decision: Refused - Planning
This decision is subject to the following conditions:
It is considered that the erection of two detached dwellings, of the scale and bulk proposed, would represent over development of the plot, which would appear cramped and as such be harmful to the character and visual amenities of the area. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policies H8 and H21 of the adopted Wychavon District Local Plan and policies GD2 and SUR1A of the Wychavon District Local Plan Review Revised Deposit.
The proposed two storey dwellings would adversely affect the amenities of the occupiers of adjoining properties through overlooking and loss of privacy. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policy GD2 of the Wychavon District Local Plan Review Revised Deposit.
Due to the shape of the plot, it is considered that the proposed vehicular access is inadequate and the development would therefore add to existing on-street parking and congestion problems in the cul-de-sac. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policy GD2 of the Wychavon District Local Plan Review Revised Deposit.
