Decision: Refused - Planning
This decision is subject to the following conditions:
Having regard for the size and height of the extension and the shape of the plot and its relation with adjoining development, it is considered the development proposed would be detrimental to the outlook and amenities of the adjoining property. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policy H8 of the adopted Wychavon District Local Plan and Policies GD2, SUR 3 and SUR9 of the Wychavon District Local Plan Review Revised Deposit (July 2003).
The demolition of the outbuildings and the incremental additions are considered to be harmful to the character, appearance and setting of this listed building and also could cause harm to the setting of the adjoining listed building. The proposal fails to comply with Policies CB5, CB6 and CB11 of the adopted Wychavon District Local Plan and Policies ENV14, ENV15 and ENV16 of the Wychavon District Local Plan Review Revised Deposit (July 2003).
The introduction of a vehicular access at this location where visibility is severely restricted in an easterly direction would be contrary to the interests of highway safety.
