This decision is subject to the following conditions:

  1. The application site consists of a Grade II listed building in a central location within Broadway Conservation Area. The existing front elevation of the building is symmetrical in appearance with doorways on each side of the facade, either side of three double light windows. The proposal to erect a 7.3m long external ramp on the principal facade of the building will, by virtue of its size, design and siting, be disruptive to the architectural symmetry of the building. The proposal is therefore harmful to the special architectural qualities of the listed building, its setting and the character and appearance of the Broadway Conservation Area, contrary to Policies CB4, CB5 and CB11 of the adopted Wychavon District Local Plan, Policies ENV13, ENV15, ENV16 and ENV2 of the Wychavon District Local Plan Review (Revised Deposit), Policies CTC19 and CTC20 of the adopted Worcestershire County Structure Plan and central government advice contained within PPG15.
