Status: Appeal Decided
Decision: Refused - Change of Use
This decision is subject to the following conditions:
The proposed development seeks to intensify the use of the site by way of creating an area of hard standing for the parking of plant and equipment owned by the applicant for use in the applicants agricultural contractors business and the siting of shipping containers on the land to be used for personal storage for the applicant and the remainder to be used in connection with the adjacent B1 Light business use. It is not considered that sufficient justification for the area of hard standing created and the siting of the shipping containers has been provided. The proposal would be demonstrably harmful to the rural character of the area. The proposal is therefore contrary to saved Policies GD 2, ENV 1 and ECON 2 criteria (b) and (c) of the Wychavon District Local Plan and paragraph 28 of the National Planning Policy Framework.
