Parish: Ombersley

Ward: Ombersley

Application Received: 15 May 2014

Statutory Start Date: 30 May 2014

Consultation Period From: 5 June 2014

Consultation Period End: 1 July 2014

Decision Date: 24 July 2014

Case Officer: Simon Rees

Status: Decided

Decision: Refused - Planning

This decision is subject to the following conditions:

  1. It is considered that the provision of two further caravans on Plot 2 would result in a cluttered and cramped layout, which is at odds with the rural countryside. This represents an overdevelopment of the site, which would fail to respect the character and landscape of the surrounding area. The proposal therefore fails to comply with saved Local Plan Policies ENV1 and SUR1 as well as emerging Policies SWDP17, SWDP21 and SWDP25 as well as guidance contained in the National Planning Policy Framework and Planning Policy for Traveller Sites.
